Erik spent the entire weekend battling a cute little robin who insists on building her nest above our garage. So, after many attempts to take down the nest and her coming coming back, only to build it bigger and better every time, we set out in search of a plastic owl to scare her away. Turns out that there are no plastic owls to be found in all of Heber City.
Fortunately, Brandi was kind enough to volunteer her stuffed penguin (the closest thing she had to an owl) to the cause..
Hopefully the robin hasn't picked apart the cute little penguin by the time we get home. That stuffing would add some extra cushion to her lovely little nest... The neighbors probably think we're crazy, but that's nothing new :)

At our old house we had doves that would nest in the eves and would swoop at us. We glued a plastic owl up there and that didnt work! So we stuck an empty plastic coke bottle there temporarily (dont ask me why) and it worked!
