We had a lovely dinner last night with Erik's family from Norway. Its so fun to have the "your country vs. my country" discussion with people who's primary language is not English. Although I must say, their English is much better than my Norwegian!
They even came to stay at our house. Christian was amazed at how big our house was compared to his flat in Norway. Now Erik is spending the day playing "Park City tour guide," which he is oh so good at.

Pengiun Sacrafice Ritual
Erik spent the entire weekend battling a cute little robin who insists on building her nest above our garage. So, after many attempts to take down the nest and her coming coming back, only to build it bigger and better every time, we set out in search of a plastic owl to scare her away. Turns out that there are no plastic owls to be found in all of Heber City.
Fortunately, Brandi was kind enough to volunteer her stuffed penguin (the closest thing she had to an owl) to the cause..
Hopefully the robin hasn't picked apart the cute little penguin by the time we get home. That stuffing would add some extra cushion to her lovely little nest... The neighbors probably think we're crazy, but that's nothing new :)
